DSA Selection Criteria & Process
1) DSA Selection Criteria
Selection criteria for the respective talent areas as below.
Hai Sing Catholic School Floorball Team is looking for Primary 6 students who meet two or more of the following conditions.
- Active member in a floorball team (school/club)
- Awards in National School Games Floorball competitions or any relevant competition
- The student must obtain at least a Very Good conduct grade with relevant leadership skills during the last two years of Primary School Education.
Hai Sing Catholic School Robotics Club is looking for Primary 6 students who possess two or more of the following competencies.
- Robotics building and programming skills.
- Awards in Robotics, ICT or Science-related competitions.
- The student must obtain at least a Very Good conduct grade with relevant leadership skills during the last two years of Primary School Education.
Hai Sing Catholic School Uniformed Groups is looking for Primary 6 pupils who exhibit the following:
- The student must obtain at least a Very Good conduct grade with relevant leadership skills during the last 2 years in Primary School Education.
- The student demonstrates consistency and commitment to development by attaining at least 90 % attendance for the CCA during the last two years of Primary School Education.
- The student demonstrates strong potential for further leadership development by assuming key leadership positions in their CCA for at least a year.
- The student demonstrates excellence through strong individual attainment in progress schemes/awards in the various Uniformed Groups

Hai Sing Catholic School Concert Band is open to all Primary 6 pupils who meet two or more of the following conditions.
- Active member in a concert band (school/club)
- Awards in Singapore Youth Festival Art Presentation or any relevant competition
- The student must obtain at least a Very Good conduct grade with relevant leadership skills during the last two years of Primary School Education.
Hai Sing Catholic School Dance is open to all Primary 6 pupils who meet two or more of the following conditions.
- Active member in a dance club (school/club)
- Awards in Singapore Youth Festival Art Presentation or any relevant competition
- The student must obtain at least a Very Good conduct grade with relevant leadership skills during the last two years of Primary School Education.
Meeting all the criteria does not guarantee the student will be shortlisted/given an offer.
2) DSA Application Process
Applications for the DSA-Sec are free-of-charge and must be submitted through the online DSA-Sec Portal. Applications open on 7 May 2025 (Wed), 11 am and close on 3 Jun 2025 (Tue), 3 pm.
3) DSA Selection Process
All shortlisted candidates will be notified via email by early August 2025 to attend an in-person audition / trial held in Hai Sing Catholic School. More details on the performance task will be provided in the email notification.
4) Release of Application Results
All applicants will be notified of their DSA-Sec application results between 25 August and 4 September 2025 via email.
